2026 Equipment Call for Projects Open
The DIM AI4IDF aims to strengthen the excellence, visibility, and structuring of artificial intelligence research in the Île-de-France region. It brings together the four major AI institutes of the region — DATAIA, Hi! PARIS, PRAIRIE, and SCAI — around a shared scientific programme structured into four research axes :
- Learning and Optimization,
- NLP and Human–Machine Dialogue,
- Robotics, Motion and Human Interaction,
- AI for Human Life (health, education, creativity).
In this context, the DIM AI4IDF is launching its 2026 Equipment Call for Projects, designed to support the acquisition of scientific equipment that helps overcome technological bottlenecks, accelerates collaborative research, and enables robust proof-of-concept development.
For the 2026 Call, the funded equipment must be installed within one of the DIM AI4IDF partner institutions (DATAIA, Hi! PARIS, PRAIRIE, SCAI), aligned with the DIM’s scientific axes, and operational before 31 December 2026.
Projects must involve at least one DIM partner team and demonstrate clear added value for the AI4IDF community, notably through inter-institutional collaboration and dissemination activities (demonstrations, public presentations, shared use, etc.).
The financial contribution from the DIM AI4IDF will range from €40,000 to €200,000, covering up to 66% of the total equipment cost.
Co-funding is mandatory and strongly encouraged.
Eligible equipment may be physical (robotic platforms, sensors, experimental devices, servers, specialised instruments) or digital (software, licenses, specialised tools).
⚠️ In accordance with the funding rules, GPU purchases are not eligible.
Applications must be completed and submitted by email, in PDF format, to: ai4idf_call_2026@inria.fr, no later than 16 February 2026 at 1:00 PM (CET).
Proposals must not exceed 3 pages and should include :
- context and objectives
- involved partners
- a detailed co-funding plan
- the strategy for dissemination and visibility within the DIM AI4IDF.
